Job Title: Restoration Technician
Reports To: Restoration Crew Leader
Employment Type: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $24.00 (based on experience and certifications), plus on-call bonus and additional overtime rate
Position Summary
The Restoration Technician supports fire, water, mold, and biohazard restoration projects from start to finish. Working as part of a team, the technician ensures the successful completion of restoration jobs while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
•Assist in fire, smoke, water, microbial, and biohazard damage remediation
•Perform smoke and odor removal, post-construction cleaning, and fabric/upholstery cleaning
•Operate moisture reading tools and document project progress
•Perform demolition and media blasting as needed
•Follow safety procedures and assist with hazmat responses
•Communicate basic updates to clients and escalate concerns to crew leaders
•Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (1 week/month)
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent
•1–3 years of restoration or cleaning experience preferred
•Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills
•Knowledge of drying, mold remediation, and carpet/upholstery cleaning techniques
•Ability to operate hand and power tools (e.g., demo saws)
•Must have basic computer and data entry skills
•Valid driver's license required
•Willingness to pursue industry certifications and OSHA training
•Able to pass PA background checks
Physical Requirements
•Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs; 15 lbs regularly
•Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and working in confined spaces
•Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, and various environmental hazards
