Finishing Technician I

Job Description Summary

Perform a variety of tasks in the finishing process of the blade.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

- Grinding blade to work instruction specifications.

- Grind between quality marks and apply gelcoat to designated locations.

- Matting to give blades a clean finish.

- Painting and Sanding

- Apply tape to edge of blade to avoid overspray of gel coat.

- Apply auto mask to the shell of the blade.

- Apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade, then scrape of excess so all voids are filled.

- Turn the blade utilizing machine.

- Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines.

- Maintain 5s standards.

Required Qualifications

- Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.

- Ability to push/pull heavy objects.

- Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.

- Ability to work with hands for an extended period.

- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.

- Requires usage of respirator.

Desired Characteristics

- High School Diploma/GED or related experience.

- Previous Manufacturing experience.
