About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller (or current Assistant Controller who is looking to grow!) to lead financial operations for our two manufacturing sites located in Hardeeville, SC and Huntington Beach, CA. This position is based in Hardeeville, SC, and plays a key leadership role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis to support strategic decision-making across both facilities. The position will report to the CFO with a dotted line to the Plant Manager in Hardeeville, SC.

What You’ll Do

Oversee all accounting and financial operations for two plant locations.

Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Develop and maintain robust cost accounting practices, and analyze variances to support plant performance.

Prepare annual budgets and forecasts for both sites in coordination with plant and corporate leadership.

Collaborate with plant managers and operations teams to track KPIs, identify cost savings, and drive efficiency.

Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and internal controls.

Manage inventory accounting, standard costs, and capital expenditure tracking.

Support internal and external audits and compliance initiatives.

Partner with other finance leaders to standardize multi-site reporting and processes.

Travel occasionally to the Huntington Beach, CA site (as needed).

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)

3–5 years of Controller experience and 5-8 years in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Cost accounting experience preferred.

MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred)

Experience managing or supporting multi-site operations (required)

Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis

Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
