Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to support the company's financial health. This role requires strong leadership abilities, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in financial management systems. DMS Companies, Inc uses Foundation Accounting Software. Experience with Foundation Accounting Software a plus.

Responsibilities

•

Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management.

•

Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all entries.

•

Utilize accounting software, specifically Foundation, to maintain financial records and generate reports.

•

Conduct regular forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning initiatives.

•

Ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards and public accounting regulations.

•

Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

•

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.

•

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review by senior management.

Experience

•

10 years of proven experience in financial management or corporate accounting roles.

•

Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.

•

Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general ledger reconciliation techniques.

•

Experience with cash management strategies and forecasting methodologies.

•

Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Foundation Accounting Software.

•

Proficient with GAAP Accounting procedures.
