Overview: Lead and consult on diverse technology projects for internal and external clients, ensuring adherence to standards and processes.
Responsibilities:
•Consult on client requirements, propose technology solutions, and guide in evaluating, selecting, and utilizing new and existing tools and techniques.
•Provide subject matter expertise and solutions on comprehensive technology issues for internal and external customers.
•Lead the design, testing, and implementation of technical projects, collaborating with senior IT staff.
•Ensure that the design and implementation of technologies comply with existing standards and processes.
•Act as liaison between internal customers and development staff to deliver technology-based solutions
•Support internal customers with design and implementation of business processes utilizing technology (hardware or software)
Requirements:
•Degree or equivalent experience desired.
Skills:
•Technical Excellence: Develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Advise others on technical and process solutions, mentor team members, and ensure effective technical performance.
•Technology Advising: Collaborate with a professional network to help clients identify and achieve technology objectives. Advise on a range of products, technologies, services, and solutions, and evaluate emerging technologies for business impact.
•Emerging Technologies: Design, apply, and evaluate new information technologies for business environments. Assist in comparing business performance before and after implementation and participate in the integration of new technologies.
•Hardware Infrastructure: Design and integrate IT hardware into multi-platforms. Develop policies and processes for IT hardware and software implementation and improve organizational IT functionality.
•Requirements Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and record business requirements to ensure the success of system or software development projects. Lead requirement analysis activities and supervise the use of analysis tools and services.
•Systems Software Infrastructure: Design and build software architecture and core technologies. Develop software policies and procedures, resolve implementation issues, and facilitate cooperative processing of systems software infrastructure.
•Technical Troubleshooting: Anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, and applications. Emphasize the business impact of failures, create trouble reports, and direct the resolution of communication problems.
•Technical Writing/Documentation: Write technical documents such as manuals, reports, and guidelines. Lead the design and production of technical materials and support the development of documentation solutions.
Summary Pay Range:
$125,925.00 - $188,887.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
