This is an entry-level operator position designed for a skilled individual with relevant experience in a trade or technical field who is eager to grow into a long-term career.
- already holds a Level I Operator license, or
- has relevant technical experience (plumbing, utilities, mechanical, construction, electrical) and is committed to earning a license within one year.

- Operate and maintain public drinking water and wastewater systems
- Perform inspections, compliance sampling, and record-keeping
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot system issues, respond to emergencies, and rotate on-call shifts
- Work independently in the field while representing MWW with professionalism
- Idaho Level I Water or Wastewater Operator license OR ability and commitment to become licensed within one year
- Relevant trade/technical experience required (plumbing, construction, utilities, maintenance, mechanical, or electrical)
- Willingness to work with wastewater on occasion
- Critical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and independence in the field
- Basic plumbing skills
- Comfortable with technology (SCADA, tablets, digital logs, work order systems)
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
