JOB DESCRIPTION
HRVLP is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the management of workers, subcontractors and the overall safety of the men and equipment.
The position is based out of the Fort St. John office. Work locations are in the Peace Region. Working a 15 on 6 off rotation.

RESPONSIBILTIES
•Maintain professional relationship with project specific Consultants.
•Project Superintendents oversee the daily construction activities of contractors, field foremen, and all workers at a site to ensure projects follow schedules, budgets, and safety procedures.
•Coordinates the procurement, delivery and placement of materials and equipment on-site as required to execute each phase of a construction project.
•Follows construction schedules and monitors daily and weekly progress to ensure project milestones are achieved.
•Work closely with Safety to ensure all policies and procedures are followed along with supporting field staff completion of safety tickets and courses. Keep up to date on all WorkHub courses and Certifications
•Trouble shoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes or processes and expedites solutions to keep the project on track.
•Directs and/or conducts inspections for the quality of safety, workmanship, materials and compliance with specification and standards.
•Completes a job analysis when project has been completed in a timely fashion.
•Have good knowledge of all company policies. Help with the creation of new policies and procedures.
•Timely creation of daily field tickets and submittal to clients. Follow up with clients on Daily ticket approvals, queries and disputes.
•Report at 7:00 am Daily Teams Status Update.
•Provide Project Updates and Reviews for Weekly Team Meeting.
•Provide assistance on RFP Submissions.
•Reports to the Construction Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
•15+ years experience in Civil Construction.
•Road & Lease Building and Pipeline ROW clearing experience is an asset.
•Proven experience as a Field Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
•Prior experience with the Management of Civil Construction projects including scheduling, client relations, oversight of field staff, safety reporting, creating and follow up of daily field ticketing and reporting.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
•Computer skills in Word, Excel and Adobe.
•Experience with Top Con Grade Control considered an asset.
•Working knowledge of SiteDocs, Open Ticket and Pandell Jobutrax.
•Works well in a team atmosphere.

•Ground Disturbance 201 - BCCGA
•CSO - Energy Safety Canada
•Any other Supervisory courses will be considered an asset.
