The Field Service Technician at Aqua-Chem responsibilities include providing on-site technical expertise and service during pre-and post- installation of water purification equipment for Aqua-Chem's diverse customer base. The individual will provide an ongoing interface with the customer and act as a technical consultant to assure our equipment operates both efficiently and economically, resulting in maximum operational uptime in our customer's facilities. The Field Service Technician is the face of Aqua-Chem to our customer, integral to meeting our customer satisfaction goals
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Range: Dependent on Experience | $35.00 - $47.00

- Provide technical service and support to our client base in their water production facilities
- Solve technical problems related to water treatment equipment, and recommend solutions and/or modification to equipment or operational protocol as required
- Preventative and scheduled maintenance, trouble shooting, and repairs
- Performs most complex installations, repairs, troubleshooting, performance testing and/or modifications of equipment at job site.
- Replacement and spare part sales support
- Assigns, instructs and oversees customers (or subcontractors) in the performance of technical duties.
- Maintains sound working relationships and liaison with customer's personnel to maintain the image of the Company and its products.
- Conducts theoretical and practical customer specific training accompanied by Subject Matter Experts.
- Must have ability to travel - generally by air and utilization of a rental car extensively for position (valid DL required)
- Work within a team environment at customer facilities to solve operational issues, commission equipment, and provide consultative support.
- Become a valued extension of the customer's team.

- Must be U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma/GED; Required
- Understanding of various water purification process operations
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Read and understand drawings, including Electrical Schematics, PFD's and P&ID's
- Install, setup, and troubleshoot 4-20ma instruments and analog signals.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to work within various customer environments, understanding that he/she is the face of Aqua-Chem to our markets.
- Basic understanding of water chemistry
- Experience with water purification equipment and processes
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, and able to adapt and change to given circumstances at customer facilities.
- Must be able to travel up to 80% both domestically and internationally. Ability to obtain and keep a valid passport and Driver’s License.
- Must live within one hour from a major metro airport
- Able to work overtime as required
