Field Service Technician - Crusher Heavy Equipment

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Field Service Technician specializing in Crusher Heavy Equipment to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repairs for heavy machinery used in mining, construction, and industrial applications. Your expertise will ensure equipment operates at peak performance, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair crusher heavy equipment and related machinery at customer sites or company facilities.

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals.

- Fabricate parts or components as needed to ensure optimal operation of equipment.

- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during service tasks.

- Conduct electrical diagnostics, hydraulic repairs, transmission servicing, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and alignment procedures.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs accurately.

- Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, and communicate effectively with customers regarding maintenance needs or technical issues.

Skills

- Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment or industrial machinery is highly desirable.

- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.

- Experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; ability to read schematics confidently.

- Familiarity with OEM parts catalogs such as Caterpillar or other major brands; knowledge of farm machinery and automotive diagnostics preferred.

- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely under various conditions.

- Ability to perform tire service, brake repair, wheel alignment, suspension work, and general vehicle maintenance.

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.

- Capable of heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
