Field Service Specialist ( Transformer ) Level 1/ Level 2/ Level 3

Founded in 2021, OTEK Group, Inc. (OTEK) is a fast-growing renewable energy service provider that specializes in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Inverter , Transformers, HVAC etc. sub-sector of the broader power grid energy transition.

Location: Projects are around Texas and other states, so technicians must be willing to travel as needed

Type: Contractor / Permanent

Salary: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour based on experience and education background

Responsibilities:

The most qualified candidates will have transformer testing, maintenance, and repair experience

· Install, commission, and maintain transformers at customer sites and our Odessa workshop.

· Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.

· Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule and guidelines.

· Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.

· Provide technical support and training to customers and end-users as needed.

· Document all service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions, accurately and comprehensively.

· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all service activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

· Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and best practices.

Experience:

· Minimum of 1 -5 year of experience in transformer repair, troubleshooting and maintenance or a related field preferred

· Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems

· Ability to weld (stick welding) is preferred

· OSHA 10 General Worker / OSHA30 Supervisor, NFPA 70E, First Aid certifications are required after hiring

· Ability to read, speak and write in English

· High school diploma/GED equivalent

· Must have valid driver's license and work authorization in the U.S.

- Must pass drug test and background check.
