About the role
The Field Manager plays a critical role as the frontline liaison between technicians, customers, and leadership. You’ll oversee day-to-day field operations, support technician performance, and ensure customer expectations are met with excellence. This role requires strong communication, operational planning, and leadership skills to manage people, projects, and performance outcomes across the Prairie Rose site.
What You’ll Do:
•Serve as the first line of communication with customers, including regular calls (weekly during mobilization, monthly thereafter)
•Collaborate with customers on site planning, budgeting, and issue resolution
•Provide monthly plant summaries to the Performance Engineering team
•Oversee scheduling and work planning to minimize downtime and ensure team safety
•Support technicians by managing on-site issues and escalating as needed
•Review and close out Softwrench work orders before month-end
•Ensure out-of-scope work is appropriately flagged as billable
•Approve technician timecards and manage within a 10% overtime budget
•Review and approve technician RAMP requests (up to $500)
•Lead technician performance management including:
+ Addressing disciplinary matters with HR support
+ Identifying training needs and promoting cross-training
+ Supporting retention efforts with feedback and coaching
+ Succession planning and technician development
•Partner with leadership to improve processes and close business gaps
•Be a role model of operational excellence, safety, and accountability
Qualifications / Requirements:
•Proven experience managing teams in field operations, maintenance, or energy services
•Strong planning, communication, and leadership skills
•Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
•Familiarity with workforce platforms (e.g., Rippling, Softwrench) preferred
•High attention to detail, documentation, and safety standards
•Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, team support, or training
Eligibility Requirements:
•Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
•Must pass a background check, MVR, and drug screening
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This role requires periodic work at operational sites, which may include walking turbines, climbing stairs, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Must be able to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
Travel:
Occasional travel required for site visits, team meetings, or customer support.
