The Role:
The Field Technician role at IWS is pivotal for our success, involving tasks such as on-site equipment installation, training, and systems troubleshooting.
This position is based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, with Headquarters located in Calgary, Alberta.
Responsibilities:
•Engage with customers daily through various interactions, including in-person, verbal and written communication, written records, and basic field interactions.
•Install and configure electrical hardware, mechanical components, and software at customer locations.
•Set up network devices associated with InVisionTM systems and components, with appropriate training.
•Conduct training sessions for customers and third-party service providers on the proper use of IWS equipment.
•Compile field reports, collect data, and preform basic data analysis.
•Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic, electrical, and computer-based equipment, with appropriate training.
•Manage equipment rig-up/rig-out, inspection, maintenance, and organization of different equipment types.
•Offer hands-on and remote support to clients and third-party services at customer sites.
•Work independently to self-dispatch as needed.
Qualifications:
•Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an oil and gas well completion related service line or fracking.
•Experience in field-based operations, general maintenance tasks, wellsite operations, and safety protocols.
•Willingness to work away from home and travel to the United States.
•Ability to adapt to changing work environments, priorities, and assignments.
•Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft products (IWS will provide training on all proprietary hardware and software systems).
•Capacity to deliver detailed and efficient reports.
•Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
