JOB TITLE: Facility Supervisor Metalico Skyway Auto Parts
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Facility Manager
LOCATION: 637 Tifft Street Buffalo, NY 14220
HOURS: Monday – Friday 7:00am-4:00pm, Saturdays as needed
COMPENSATION: $24-27/hour, based on skills and experience.
PURPOSE
To supervise, manage, guide and influence day-to-day operational activities for the Metalico Skyway location. Plan and communicate their business vision, growth, and diversification to their team and drive the execution of an effective operations program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Implement and uphold Metalico’s safety practices and regulations
•Evaluate the safety/environmental needs and make recommendations to the facility manager
•Prevent liquid hazardous materials from entering soil, ground water or surface water.
•Maintain regulatory compliance with all local, state and federal government laws.
•Ensure adherence to customer specifications and make recommendations to the facility manager on ways to expand margins
•Assist facility manager with employee training regarding operating and maintaining equipment
•Become familiar with all processing operations and costs. Become knowledgeable enough to determine how material is to be processed and make recommendations to facility manager as needed.
•Conduct themselves with professionalism and be responsive to all internal and external customers.
•Handle all disputes in a timely and effective manner.
•Attend relevant training/information sessions with the intent of becoming more knowledgeable.
•Manage the employees’ day-to-day duties Oversee cash drawer reconciliation when used for customer payout and at the end of every month.
•Follow and perform duties in accordance with the Metalico Code of Business Conduct.

•Ensure that all customers’ needs are met on a continuing basis
•Set up daily assignments for all yard/plant staff Effective use of all company assets
•Efficient use of available space for inventory management
•Performs special assignments assigned by the General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •High School Diploma / GED.
•2-year minimum operational management training experience, preferred.
•Previous automotive parts sales experience, ideally 1-3 years.
•Heavy equipment skills a plus (forklift, skid steer, loaders, material handlers).
•Willingness to learn in a fast paced, inclement weather, dirty work environment.
•Must be able to effectively communicate with customers
•Must be able to lift minimum of 30 lbs.
•Must be able to work full week & half day Saturdays

WORK HOURS
Monday through Friday, 40+ hour work week; overtime may be required after hours and on weekends.
