The Position
Keyera is currently seeking a
Facility Inspectorto join our Rimbey Facility. This role is an integral part of our business, contributing to our daily success. You will be responsible for supporting field operations that focus on inspection of equipment (vessels, boilers etc.). To be successful in this role daily attendance on site is required, candidates must live within 80 KMs of the Rimbey facility.
Responsibilities
- Implement Keyera’s Pressure Equipment Integrity Management System for the assigned facilities
- Direct involvement with local operations management teams
- Develop facility turnaround plans for inspections, including scheduling, contractor surveillance, coordination of pressure equipment repair and project support
- Support risk assessments for facility pressure equipment as appropriate
- Liaise with local area Safety Codes Officers as required
- Support local procurement processes to ensure pressure equipment, valves, fittings and piping materials purchased meet corporate quality, engineering specifications and construction requirements
- Conduct contractor audits as requested to ensure compliance to the corporate quality and integrity management program requirements for onsite pressure equipment construction, repairs and inspections
- Provide technical support to facilities’ Operations, Maintenance and Engineering group
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:- Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Process or Welding
- 5-7 years of experience in Integrity Management of pressure equipment in Oil and Gas
- A registered holder of an In-Service Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspector Certificate
- Working knowledge of applicable jurisdictional regulations, codes and standards (ASME, API, ABSA, AER, CSA, etc)
- Working knowledge of integrity / CMMS software (Visions, Meridium, Maximo, SAP etc)
- Knowledge and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas production.
- Proven leadership, communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work and set priorities in a multitask environment with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of risk identification, assessment and mitigation and reliability management principles
- Team player with ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries
- This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face
- A valid driver’s license and ability to provide 5-year standard driver abstract (clean driver’s abstract)
- This role is subject pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing and ongoing compliance with the company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy
