3.0 Position Summary
Requires basic knowledge of building trades, (carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing) mechanical repairs, techniques, and procedures, and the use of department equipment and supplies.
4.0 Minimum Requirements
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
•Three years technical and operational experience three years’ experience.
•Technical equipment background (mechanical / electrical maintenance experience).
•Experience working at start-up projects. Distinctive analytical and conceptual skills.
5.0 Responsibilities
•Perform set-up of automatic equipment and other support equipment to ensure correct operation.
•Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs when needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.
•Constructs, finishes, installs, maintain, and repairs equipment, systems, and facilities related to any craft or combination of same, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
•Define quality report structure for the onsite equipment, define quality criteria for the equipment, and define spare parts concept for all technical equipment.
•Accompany and support equipment acceptance test specifically.
•Familiarize with packaging equipment and become technical expert.
•Willing to travel to service other office locations (40%).
6.0 Fitness for Duty – Physical Demands
Workday may consist of 8-12 hours; however, this can vary day to day or shift to shift. Much of the work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged duration of time. Work may be performed during day or nighttime hours and may involve working alone.
