Facility Maintenance and Repair Technician
Job Summary:
The Facility Maintenance & Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the overall functionality of building systems, office spaces, and equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and assisting with facility upgrades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
General Facility Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
Conduct general repairs, such as painting, drywall patching, door and lock maintenance, and flooring repairs.
Inspect and maintain lighting, replacing bulbs, ballasts, and fixtures as needed.
Assist in the installation and assembly of furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
Mechanical & Electrical Repairs:
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues, such as outlets, switches, and wiring problems.
Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, and water lines.
Perform basic HVAC maintenance, including filter replacements and minor adjustments.
Facility Upgrades & Renovations:
Assist in office renovations and remodeling projects, including space reconfiguration, painting, and flooring installations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes in all repairs and modifications.
Ensure the facility remains in compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Monitor and report potential hazards or necessary improvements in the facility.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in facility maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or plumbing preferred. Experience: 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, repair, or a related field.Driver License Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and have a valid chauffeur license or willing to obtain
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, climb ladders and work in various conditions (hot, cold, or confined spaces).
Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm,
Overtime, as needed
Occasional Saturday and/or Sunday
