We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and mechanical knowledge, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing various systems. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our facility, contributing to the overall safety and functionality of our equipment and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage components.
- Execute welding tasks, including stick welding, as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
- Provide technical support and customer service to internal teams as well as external clients when required.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure all facility operations run smoothly.
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician in a manufacturing facility.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Previous field service experience is a plus, along with technical sales skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Experience working with electrical systems, including high voltage applications.
Responsibilities: Repairs and maintenance on trucks, plows, mowers and other small engines.
Maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel engine powered equipment. A Fleet Mechanic performs a variety of skilled and technical tasks in the maintenance and repair for light, medium, and heavy duty trucks and equipment. Work ranges from minor repair to overhaul of equipment such as trucks, lawn mowers, pumps, and other equipment.
Collect all necessary vehicle information for repair; performs diagnostics and repairs in a timely manner to defective and damaged components in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic, heating, cooling, gasoline, and diesel fuel systems-effective repairs to these systems are accomplished by repair, adjustment, rebuilding, or replacement of any and/or all related components through a thorough working knowledge of the proper use and application of technical diagnostic equipment, specialized tools, welding, cutting, and hand tools; tests equipment for adequacy of repairs.
- Perform inspections, equipment and vehicle repairs on pick-up trucks, 2 and 4-cycle lawn mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, chain saws, rototillers, edgers, sprayers, snow blowers, salt spreaders, and snow plows.
- Perform repairs (diagnose/repair/replace) on gas and diesel engines, transmissions, drive shafts, differentials, and drive axels; hydraulic; steering system parts, power steering, steering linkage, and steering alignment; suspension systems coil spring, strut and leaf spring, air spring parts, and components.
- Repair electrical DC 12 and 24 volt lights; create electrical wiring and circuits to update or modify equipment; repair closed loop electrical systems in gas and diesel engine control computers and transmissions.
- Repair vehicle heating, ventilation, air conditioning, thermostats, fan motors, switches, vent cables, and controls; repair vehicle air conditioning components, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pressure switches, hoses, and recharge A/C system.
- Preventative maintenance of vehicles; replace air filters, fuel filters, transmission fluid and filters, engine oil and filters, lubricate chassis and cab; repair brake components, steering and suspension, electrical systems, cab HVAC filters, lighting, including headlights, taillights, and brake lights. - Repair hydraulic pumps and drive systems, hydraulic motors cylinders, pressure relief devices, system controls, switches, hoses, and valve bodies. Snow plow system repairs; snow plow brackets, hitches, electric controls and cable controls; salt spreader augers, hydraulic motors, electric controls, and bearings.
Required Experience: Diesel or Automotive Repair and Powertrain Servicing, and four (4) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of late model trucks. Must be dependable and trustworthy.
