Facilities Maintenance Technician

Overview

Wire-Bond is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician that performs general maintenance to include outdoor and indoor areas. This position will also serve as a back-up to janitorial services.

Responsibilities

- Maintain outdoor areas to ensure outfalls are clear, parking lot is free of debris and any other necessary upkeep to property grounds

- Conduct safety checks per pm to include fire extinguishers, emergency lights, exits and emergency showers/eye wash stations

- Maintain upkeep of break areas and restrooms, ensuring toilets, sinks, water fountains, light bulbs etc. are in good working order

- Weather preparation such as salting walkways and snow removal

- Use company truck to pick up parts, equipment, etc. (Must have valid driver license)

- Assist Maintenance Techs as needed (welding, pulling wire, plumbing, forklift repair, etc.)

- General beautification of the property to include painting, keeping company vehicles clean and any other duties assignment by management

Experience

- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility setting.

- Familiarity with electrical systems, including the use of schematics for troubleshooting.

- Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other maintenance equipment.

- Experience with hydraulics is preferred but not mandatory.

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to diagnosing issues.

- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks performed.

Job Requirements:

- Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

- 1+ year prior facilities maintenance experience

- Must have basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical aptitude

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds

- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head

- Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation

- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours

- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting
