The fabricator helper is responsible for the cutting, slotting, groove, mitering, and trimming of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces according to drawings and specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to do math, read a tape measure, and have basic working knowledge of hand tools.
- Cut, slot, groove, miter, and trim metallic and nonmetallic work pieces according to drawing and specifications.
- Drill and tap holes as required by the drawings.
- Buffs, grinds, cuts, trim and/or files parts/components after cutting as required.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules.
- Adhere to all Company policies.
- Follow all quality, health, safety and environmental programs.
- Attend work per work schedule.
- Possess all tools required for the position.
