Fabricator Apprentice – Architectural Metal Shop

Currently seeking an apprentice for metal shop fabrication in Emeryville CA. The ideal candidate must have experience or strong interest in fabrication.

Compensation for a Fabricator Apprentice:

· Full benefits package (medical, dental, 401K, vacation).

· 10 paid holidays per year.

· Hourly Wage: Based on experience.

· Starting Salary: $20.00 /hour.

· Job Type: Full-time – Typically 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday; with time and a half overtime pay after 8 hours.

Responsibilities of a Fabricator Apprentice:

· Drilling, cutting, grinding, assembly, and layout.

· Ability to work with a team.

· Accomplish projects on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship.

· Fabrication of custom railing, awning, canopy, trellis, and gates.

· Ability to juggle tasks and manage deadlines.

Requirements of a Fabricator Apprentice:

· Ability or willingness to learn how to read shop drawings.

· Ability to read a tape measure.

· Ability or willingness to learn layout skills.

· Experience with shop equipment is a PLUS (including but not limited to: chop saws, drills, hand and power tools)

· Ability to follow instructions, self-motivated, punctual, and reliable.

· Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.

· Valid CA driver license.

CANDIDATES MUST PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING.
