About the Role

Summit Skilled Solutions is urgently hiring a Fabrication Manager to lead the daily operations of our fabrication shop in Georgia. In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient, high-quality, and safe production of metal components and structures. From overseeing the fabrication process to mentoring the team, your leadership will directly impact our ability to deliver top-tier craftsmanship to clients.

This is a direct hire position starting day one with our client. Candidates must live within commuting distance.

Key Responsibilities

•

Team Leadership: Supervise and direct fabrication team members to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.

•

Production Management: Plan fabrication schedules, allocate resources, and ensure on-time completion of projects.

•

Quality Control: Review all fabricated components for adherence to specifications, blueprints, and safety standards.

•

Safety Oversight: Enforce and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment.

•

Training & Development: Train, mentor, and upskill team members to ensure operational excellence.

•

Blueprint & Drawing Review: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings with accuracy.

•

AutoCAD & CNC: Use AutoCAD to generate shop drawings and oversee CNC programming and operation.

Required Qualifications

•

10+ years of hands-on fabrication experience.

•

5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

•

Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and the ability to produce accurate shop drawings.

•

Experience with 3D design software is a plus.

•

5+ years of experience setting up, operating, and programming various CNC machines.

•

Expert in MIG, TIG, and stick welding (10+ years).

•

Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.

•

Proficient in Microsoft Office and related shop management software.

•

Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Annual Salary: $85,000–$125,000 (DOE)
