Fabrication Operator

Overnight Shift Hours: Monday-Wednesday, 6:30p-6:30a Thursday, 6:30p-12:30a

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for efficient set up, programming and operating multiple pieces of equipment in the Fabrication department. This position is also responsible for using a variety of inspection tools to ensure that the parts produced meet the required quality specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines

Strenuous or repetitive jobs must rotate at a minimum of every 4 hours to prevent the risk of injury

Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders:

· Monitor and recommend appropriate process improvements to safety, rates, yield and inspection techniques

· Perform general machine maintenance as necessary to keep equipment in a well maintained condition

· Document process information using set-up sheets and/or manufacturing orders

· Provide suggestions and continuous improvement ideas to help better processes and procedures

· Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)
