Fabrication Machine Operator- 2nd Shift

DEPARTMENT: Fabrication

REPORTS TO: Department Manager with the direction from the Team Lead

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS : 2nd Shift Position Monday to Friday (1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.

STARTING PAY: $ 20.88 per hour with the ability to earn more. $1.00 shift Premium.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

- Available to run General, Saws and CNC machines.

- Keep accurate records.

- Record all information on required paperwork.

- Post material pulled in computer.

- Pack and ship material for outside processing

- Follow up on material for outside processing.

- Pack and ship finished material.

- Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor.

- Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems.

- Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation.

- Able to participate in a collaborative environment.

- Comply with safety policies and procedures.

- Accepts feedback from the Team Lead to ensure the bundles meet safety standards.

- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning.

What You Will Need:

- HS Diploma/GED

- Must also pass a skills-based test.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented.

- Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
