JOB DESCRIPTION
Directly responsible to the Fabrication Manager. Functionally responsible to ensure a safe clean environment on all production equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
•Prior custodial-type experience is preferred but not essential .
•1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment .
•Must have a good command of English, both written and oral .
•Good time management and organizational skills are necessary.
Technical Skills/Competence
•Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
•Must be able to effectively communicate/cooperate with production crews and supervisors in order to maximize job efficiency.
•Follow the cleaning schedule and tasks .
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
•Lifting and bending may be required.
•May lift 35 – 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Fabrication Machine Cleaner are detailed below, but not limited to the following:
•General clean-up of production machinery and surrounding areas. Specifically sweeping, vacuuming, removing butt/billets from under presses and painting of equipment as required .
•Monitor on a daily basis the condition/state of the equipment and related areas and address/clean as required.
•Report issues observed on equipment and surrounding areas to supervisor/manager .
•Operate saw to cut up scrap .
•Assist with sorting material when required .
•Assist production crews as a helper when required .
•Other duties as assigned.

•Ensures work area is kept clean, orderly and safe at all times .
