JOB DESCRIPTION

Directly responsible to the Fabrication Manager. Functionally responsible to ensure a safe clean environment on all production equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

•

Prior custodial-type experience is preferred but not essential .

•

1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment .

•

Must have a good command of English, both written and oral .

•

Good time management and organizational skills are necessary.

Technical Skills/Competence

•

Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

•

Must be able to effectively communicate/cooperate with production crews and supervisors in order to maximize job efficiency.

•

Follow the cleaning schedule and tasks .

•

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

•

Lifting and bending may be required.

•

May lift 35 – 50 lbs on a frequent basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Fabrication Machine Cleaner are detailed below, but not limited to the following:

•

General clean-up of production machinery and surrounding areas. Specifically sweeping, vacuuming, removing butt/billets from under presses and painting of equipment as required .

•

Monitor on a daily basis the condition/state of the equipment and related areas and address/clean as required.

•

Report issues observed on equipment and surrounding areas to supervisor/manager .

•

Operate saw to cut up scrap .

•

Assist with sorting material when required .

•

Assist production crews as a helper when required .

•

Other duties as assigned.

•

Not engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct;

•

Observes Almag’s Health & Safety policies and procedures;

•

Ensures work area is kept clean, orderly and safe at all times .
