The Role

We are seeking a Lead Fabricator for our architectural sheet metal shop in Glenwood Springs. This is a manufacturing position focused on the fabrication of customer components—there is no roof or ladder work involved. You will be the point person for our fabrication equipment, including:

- CNC Folder: RAS TurboBend

- Shear: RAS 52.31

- Roll-Forming: NewTech SSQ

Primary Responsibilities

- Precision Fabrication: Utilize shear and CNC folder to manufacture architectural details (panels, trim, edge metal, coping, chimney caps, and rain goods) specified by contractors or shop drawings.

- Roll-former operation: Operate roll-forming equipment to manufacture roof and wall panels.

- Project Leadership: Interpret roofing details and sheet metal layouts with a high degree of accuracy.

- Warehouse Coordination: Assist with loading/unloading materials, picking/staging orders, and managing inventory using a forklift.

- Safety & Organization: Maintain a pristine, safe, and organized shop environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 7+ years in an architectural sheet metal shop. You should have a fundamental understanding of roofing details, shop drawings and sheet metal layouts. - Compliance: Must be 21+ years of age with a clean Moving Vehicle Record (MVR).

- Safety: Ability to pass a DOT drug test and criminal background screen.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, remain on your feet >75% of the day, and perform repetitive movements for hands and wrists.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers

- Bonus: Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: $85k -$130k depending on experience

- Housing: Interim housing available for up to 120 days for candidates relocating to the area.

- Benefits: Healthcare benefits (after 30 days) and paid vacation.

- Schedule: M–Th 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM.

- Note: Candidates should be willing to work 45–50 hours per week during peak seasons.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
