CNC Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team on the swing shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC mills and Swiss machines, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. This role involves operating machines for production runs, performing first-of-run inspections, and ensuring machines operate efficiently to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- First-of-Run Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections at the start of each production run, making adjustments as necessary to ensure products meet quality standards.

- Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines to produce parts, monitoring the machines for any signs of malfunction or deviation from expected performance.

- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with CNC machines, making minor repairs and adjustments or escalating more significant problems to maintenance personnel.

- Quality Control: Perform ongoing quality checks during production runs, using precision measuring tools to ensure products meet strict specifications.

- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning and lubrication, to maintain optimal operation and prolong machine life.

- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production quantities, and quality inspections to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.

- Collaboration: Assist other operators as needed to keep machines running smoothly and efficiently, and work closely with production teams to optimize workflows and reduce downtime.

- Safety: Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols around machinery.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent;

- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

- Technical or vocational training in CNC machining - beneficial.

- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges- beneficial.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to work in shifts and overtime as required.

Shift:

- Swing shift - Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
