CNC Operator Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The CNC Operator will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, ensuring that all parts meet precise specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
•Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to fabricate parts according to engineering specifications.
•Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements.
•Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and make adjustments as necessary.
•Conduct regular inspections of finished products using precision measuring tools such as micrometers.
•Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
•Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to streamline production processes.
•Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, machining, or programming as they arise.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
•Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing facility.
•Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and understanding of logic controllers.
•Familiarity with machining processes, tooling, and fabrication techniques.
•Strong knowledge of GD&T principles is preferred.
•Ability to read technical documents and blueprints accurately.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
