Job Title: Executive Assistant to General Manager
Provides high-level administrative and strategic support to the General Manager, managing complex schedules, communications, and special projects while serving as a key liaison between executive leadership, internal departments, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders in the utility industry.
- Manage complex calendar scheduling, including coordination with regulatory hearings, board meetings, industry conferences, and MEAG meetings.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up action items for executive and board meetings.
- Handle confidential correspondence and sensitive information with complete discretion.
- Screen and prioritize communications, including calls from regulatory officials, elected representatives, and industry leaders.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including logistics for utility industry events and site visits.
- Assist with the preparation of materials for Power Commission meetings and necessary regulatory filings.
- Coordinate responses to emergency situations, including power outages and grid incidents.
- Support budget planning processes and financial reporting activities.
- Manage special projects related to infrastructure development and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain filing systems for regulatory documents, permits, and compliance records.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between the General Manager's office and internal departments (Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, Legal, Finance, Natural Resources, and Generating Plant).
- Coordinate communications with external stakeholders including regulatory agencies, municipal officials, environmental groups, and community organizations.
- Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations for industry associations and regulatory bodies.
- Manage relationships with key vendors, contractors, and consulting firms.
- Plan and execute board meetings, public relations events, and community outreach programs.
- Organize staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
- Manage logistics for facility tours and stakeholder site visits.
- As a public employee is responsible for maintaining good relations with the public served.
- Knowledge of Public Utility Commission processes and regulatory compliance.

Physical Demands: Lifting 25lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. walking and standing are required only occasionally. Talking, hearing, seeing. Reaching. Handling. Fingering. Feeling. Crouching. Stooping. Kneeling. Crawling.
Environmental Conditions: Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
Math Skills: Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to, add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Compute interest, percentages or other math functions.
Language Skills: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to, read and understand instructions, safety rules etc.
Write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar using all parts of speech.
Speak with poise, voice control, and confidence using correct English and well-modulated voice.
Data: Compiling, gathering, collating, or classifying information about data, people or things. Reporting and/or carrying out a prescribed action in relation to information is frequently involved.
People: Speaking-Signaling, talking with and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information. Includes giving assignments and or directions to helpers or assistants.
Things: Starting, stopping, controlling and adjusting the progress of machines or equipment. Operating machines involves setting up and adjusting the machine or materials as the work progresses. Controlling involves observing progress of operations and turning devices to regulate reaction of materials.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of executive-level administrative experience or experience in the energy utilities industry.
