Excavator Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operations on construction sites.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks safely and efficiently.

- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.

- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and moving materials as needed.

- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any mechanical issues promptly.

- Participate in horizontal drilling operations as required.

- Operate dump trucks and tankers when necessary for transporting materials.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment in a construction setting.

- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.

- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred; ability to operate various types of vehicles including dump trucks and tankers.

- Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.

- Experience with paving operations is a plus.

- Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
