Estimator (Roanoke, IL)

General Responsibilities:

•

Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing departments to identify cost drivers and develop external quotes for all products and services

•

Identify bills of material from engineering drawings and input into Excel-based pricing sheet to calculate product costs, sales price, and projected profitability

•

Communicate directly with external customers and vendors on quoting activities

•

Work with functional areas to identify postproduction costs to compare actual versus budgeted profitability

•

Maintain tracking on incoming and outgoing quote requests

•

Complete and review ad hoc analyses as required

•

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (or equivalent) – preferred but not required.

•

Prior manufacturing-related management or analysis experience – preferred but not required

•

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

•

Self-motivated

•

Strong organizational skills

•

Strong communication skills; written and verbal

•

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel

•

Able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision, proactively identify and react to potential problems, and effectively communicate with all levels of management

•

Excellent analytical and presentation skills, with ability to identify financial drivers and perform high level/detailed assessments and analyses
