We are a dynamic construction and manufacturing shop located in Inman, SC, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are seeking a detail-orientated and analytical Estimator to join our team within the IVI Carolinas facility located in Inman, SC.
Position Overview:
This role requires expertise in reviewing documents, performing take-offs, obtaining pricing from vendors and subcontractors and collaborating with engineering and project management teams to ensure precise estimates. The ideal candidate possesses strong mathematical and analytical skills, proficiency in various estimating software, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position does not have any direct supervisory responsibility and requires minimal travel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Prepare accurate estimates and assist in proposal preparation, ensuring cost-effective project planning and execution.
•Analyze project documents to determine scope, conduct take-offs, and input data into Sage estimating software.
•Source pricing for materials, obtain subcontractor bids, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to finalize cost estimates.
•Maintain up-to-date resource information related to vendors, subcontractors, and regulatory requirements while monitoring project progress.
•Visit job sites, attend project status meetings, track percent complete worksheets, and assist with change orders and specialized billing situations.
QUALIFICATIONS

•Strong analytical and math skills with keen attention to detail.
•Proficiency in Sage Estimating and other relevant software (MS Word, Outlook, Excel).
•Ability to effectively prioritize, adapt to shifting demands, and perform under pressure.
•Ability to read and analyze blueprints effectively and work with Autodesk products, Solidworks, and Bluebeam.
•Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
•Prior experience in union and mechanical contracting is a plus.
Education & Experience:
•High school Diploma or equivalent is required, degree in construction management or equivalent work experience is preferred.
•3+ years of estimating experience in an industrial construction environment preferred.
