Summary

We are seeking an Junior Estimator to join our team at Eagle Heating & Cooling Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring that we meet our clients' needs while maintaining profitability. Your expertise will play a vital role in our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

•

Perform a manual take-off form Mechanical drawings.

•

Review tender packages (drawings, specification, and tender documents) for all tenders as they are assigned.

•

Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects.

•

Support senior estimator in reviewing bids and proposal for accuracy.

•

Assist in compiling pre-qualification packages for upcoming tender.

•

Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and related documents.

•

Attend and participate in site visits, pre-bid meeting and post-bid meeting as required.

•

Coordinate with general contractors and clients regarding tender queries, RFI's, and final submissions.

Perferred Skills

•

Familiarity with construction estimating principles and practices and construction documents.

•

Ability to read blueprints

•

Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word

•

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data sets

•

Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and Sub-contractors.

•

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.

•

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

•

Proven experience (2-5 years) in construction estimating, preferably within the HVAC industry.

•

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

•

Wages based on Experience, negotiable.

•

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
