Job Summary: Masonry and Concrete Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management principles and the ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers. The Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting project management teams and contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.

Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines for construction projects.

•

Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating and project management tasks.

•

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate pricing.

•

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.

•

Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.

•

Prepare detailed reports on estimates, including breakdowns of labor, materials, and overhead costs.

•

Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.

Skills

Strong knowledge of cost control methods in the construction industry.
