Ron Miedema Concrete Contractors is a well-established residential and commercial concrete contractor serving customers across the state of Michigan. We work on a wide range of projects including multifamily housing, warehouses, and commercial sites. Our reputation is built on quality work and lasting client relationships.

We are currently seeking a Concrete Estimator to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in accurate and timely estimates.

Responsibilities:

•

Review blueprints, specifications, and related documents

•

Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete work (materials, labor, equipment, etc.)

•

Develop and maintain project-specific budgets

•

Communicate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing

•

Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies

•

Track and update estimate changes as needed

•

Work closely with company leadership to ensure bid accuracy and competitiveness

Minimum Qualifications:

•

Experience not required, but preferred

•

Basic knowledge of construction methods and terminology

•

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

•

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); CAD experience is a plus

•

Good communication and organizational skills

•

Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

•

Previous experience in concrete or construction estimating

•

Familiarity with commercial and multifamily construction projects

•

Strong math and analytical skills

•

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
