We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a designated product line (Service), developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This role requires a proactive approach to project management and bidding, with a focus on B2B interactions and technical sales in the utility sector.
This is a highly visible position. The individual shall manage and maintain contact with owners, engineers, and other customers in a professional manner with the company’s best interest in mind. Specific duties include: estimating, project management, project administration, and cost analysis, outlined as follows:
- Review proposal specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Prepare estimates by calculating takeoffs of the scope of work.
- Submit estimates to supervisor to review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to submitting formal quotation.
- Maintain files of working document as back up for estimate figures and build customer history.
- Participate in bid strategy and presentation meetings with sales staff as requested.
- Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients. May be responsible for closing/negotiating the “Sale” with team members and individually.
- Manage awarded contracts as required, including project set up, estimating / pricing extra work items, change orders and/or credits and attending progress meetings.
- Responsible for project follow up in reference to project profit / loss.
- Responsible for setting up contracts and preparing paperwork to enter the corporate system.
- Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts.
- Assist in the preparation of recommendations for clients and prepare cost estimates as required.
- Perform additional assignments as requested or necessary
- A valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Associate’s degree
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Willing and able to work at heights and in confined spaces (manholes)
- Sewer or Utility experience
