The position of Equipment Operator is responsible for all aspects of material loading and unloading in the warehouse and laydown yard, including material receiving, shipping, and staging.
- Operate front end loader, 12000# standard forklift, inside stand-up electric forklift, and telehandler.
- Perform daily safety checks on material handling equipment.
- Examine incoming shipments, report and/or reject damaged goods before signing for material.
- Maintain proper housekeeping daily at warehouse and laydown yard.
- Place materials on shelves, racks, or other designated storage areas safely and in an orderly fashion.
- Receive material accurately and safely, verifying quantity and description against packing lists and purchase orders, recording and reporting discrepancies.
- Provide customer service at the warehouse issuing and receiving window.
- Prepare materials for shipment and complete all necessary paperwork to ship materials properly.
- Accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on annual physical inventory count sheets.
- 3-5 years of Oil & Gas industry warehousing and heavy equipment operation experience.
- Certification to operate all warehouse material handling equipment safely.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong initiative and self-starter.
- Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
- Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.
- Ability to identify operational inefficiencies.
- Understanding of the importance of environmental and safe work practices.
