About This Job


Position Overview:


The Equipment Manager of the OffShore Division reports directly to the OffShore General Manager. while overseeing all day-to-day aspects of the rentals and sales equipment and workshop. This position will ensure efficient and effective service delivery, project management, employee engagement and customer satisfaction, other duties as assigned. The Equipment Manager OffShore requires above average technical expertise, offshore oil and gas environmental inspection knowledge, and seasoned industry experience. The ability to efficiently problem-solve, communicate, multitask, manage time, interpersonal skills, and thrive within a team environment, empowering a strong work ethic.

The Equipment Manager, OffShore will mentor and lead a productive business environment, including managing customer service and all routine preventative maintenance on equipment, maintaining proper documentation and protocols, as well as the ability to analyze and communicate process improvements to the C-level management


Responsibilities, not limited to:


Daily Operations Management and Leadership: Oversee the daily activities of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

- This includes scheduling maintenance and repair work, managing workflow, and allocating tasks to technicians based on their skills and job complexity.

- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.

- Conflict resolution and people management skills.

- Manage a team of technicians and support staff, conducting performance reviews, providing training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


Technical Niche Skills: This involves motivating the team and ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest technologies and repair techniques.

- Hands-on proficiency with industry-specific environmental inspection equipment, software, and consumables.

- Excellent comprehension of offshore environmental processes and techniques.


Customer Service, Communication, and Interaction: Engage with customers to provide estimates for work, explain repairs and services, and address any concerns or complaints.

- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction is crucial.

- Clear and concise communication with staff and other departments.

- Ability to present reports and findings to upper management.

- Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities in your region

- Use CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales

- Planning, organization, and problem-solving skills with relation to customer service and vendor communication


Inventory Control, Quality and Resource Management: Maintain an inventory of parts and equipment, order supplies as needed and ensure that all tools and machinery are functioning properly.

- This includes implementing quality assurance processes and monitoring product or service quality.

- Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.

- Sort, organize, and store inventory in the proper location. Receive, Prepare, and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)


Health and Safety Compliance: Develop and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

- This includes conducting risk assessments and ensuring safer compliance practices are followed in the rentals and sales environment.

- Utilizing extensive environmental experience to provide consultancy of rental and sales equipment procedures for the offshore business division.


Qualifications:


- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial management, or a related field is desired.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience with offshore/subsea inspection equipment, rentals and sales of offshore/subsea inspection equipment or environmental workshop experience in management. Industry-specific networking and skills is highly desired

- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as well as organizational and time management skills.

- Exceptional Organizational and problem-solving abilities.

- Proficient with industry and rentals and sales software (such as NetSuite, HubSpot, CompuCal, Flex Solutions, or the like).

- Travel Requirements: 0-10%, up to 25%
