Equipment/Excavator Operator / Material Processor ($20-$22 an hour)

Cabmat Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opening in Aurora, OH

6AM-2:30PM , 12:00 pm-8:30pm, 7:30AM-4PM

$20-$22 an hour

This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner as well as sorting/handling various metals. Heavy equipment may include excavators, forklifts, man lifts, skid steers and other pieces of equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant industry standards, policies, and site procedures

· Perform daily safety and maintenance checks

· Sort and process metals.

· Always maintains a neat and safe work area

· Ensures safe keeping of inventory tags in their possession.

· Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety procedures.

· Reports any problems or discrepancies to management.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills:

· At least 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience with specific experience operating excavators, forklifts, skid steers, etc.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Basic computer skills.

· Metals recycling knowledge a bonus.

· Organized

Physical Requirements:

· The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done

· Walking, stepping, climbing or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, and normally involves physically getting into and out of equipment.

· Visually seeing equipment operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
