Duties
•Responsible for storage and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with EPA regulations. Complete RCRA & DOT training.
•Ensures that Hazardous Waste Accumulation site and contents is properly maintained
•Completes Environmental audits as assigned
•Completes Environmental reports/paperwork as assigned.
•Organize incoming containment area (identifying contents, drums sealed, clean, proper skid, proper labels)
•Organize recyclable wood products (pallets, bushing containers and special size wood pallets) and clean up wood outside
•Universal Waste - Puncture spray cans, box fluorescent bulbs, empty full drums of recyclable spray cans, check level of battery pail
•Assists Environmental manager as assigned including training of personnel.
Experience
•Good organizational skills.
•Ability to read instructions and schedules to perform duties.
•Mathematical skill deals with whole numbers, normal addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to maintain record keeping.
•Be self-motivated and able to complete tasks with little or no supervision.
•Physical demands include normal walking, standing, lifting, climbing a ladder, be able to operate a forklift, and minor activities such as opening/closing waste drums.
•Ability to operate a computer with little or no supervision.
•Assists Manager with Environmental reports, audits, compliance & ISO 14001.
