Environment / Chemical Advisor

NSB Omega is searching for a Environment / Chemical Advisor for our MAJOR Oil & Gas Client in St. John's, NL.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

- Work directly with and support the East Coast EH&S and the Wells Project Team develop required project documentation for upcoming campaign.

- Provide guidance to support the selection of chemicals that minimize risks to personnel and reduce potential impacts to the environment.

- Evaluate and screen chemicals to be used on Suncor’s offshore facilities.

- Support Suncor’s regulatory and corporate environmental reporting requirements.

- Knowledge of environmental toxicity, WHMIS 2015 and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).

- Experience working in the marine environment and knowledge of offshore oil and gas environmental aspects.

- Completion of a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or equivalent.
