We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trade Operations Analyst (Entry Level) to support our trade compliance and logistics operations. In this role, you will assist with daily import/export activities, data analysis, documentation, and regulatory compliance tasks to ensure the smooth flow of goods across borders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about international trade and is looking to grow in a global operations environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of import/export shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
- Support the classification of products using Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade data, including tariff codes, country of origin, and supplier information.
- Help prepare and review shipping and compliance documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
- Work with internal teams (logistics, procurement, finance) and external partners (customs brokers, freight forwarders) to resolve shipping or compliance issues.
- Monitor shipment status and escalate delays or discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations (e.g., U.S. Customs, EAR, ITAR, USMCA).
- Assist in maintaining internal SOPs, compliance logs, and training materials.
- Stay up to date with changes in global trade regulations and policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Internship or coursework related to international trade, customs, or logistics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or trade platforms (e.g., Descartes, Amber Road) is a plus.
- Knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations or customs procedures is a bonus but not required.
