Entry-Level Electric Utility Design Technician

About The Role

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an entry-level Design Technician I to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will contribute to the design of overhead and underground electrical utility projects, gaining hands-on experience in the field of electrical engineering.

This role is 75% remote: however, occasional travel for fielding project needs in Northern and Central Wisconsin

- Design electrical systems for overhead and underground utility projects, including creating detailed construction drawings and accurate bills of materials.

- Provide supporting documentation such as pole force loading calculations, voltage drop calculations, and permitting requirements as needed.

- Support pre-construction activities, answering questions related to the job site and design.

What We’re Looking For

- Entry-level experience (0-3 years) in a design engineering role.

- Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and concepts is a plus.

- Proficiency in drafting/design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and Microsoft Office.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- A strong desire to learn and grow in a technical environment.

Bonus Qualifications

- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools is a plus.

- Motivated, proactive, and eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and concepts is a plus

- Associate's degree in technical related field is preferred
