Position Summary
Analytics & Innovation is on a mission to create trusted and reusable data products that will connect our value chains and support our strategic commitments. Our vision of data product strategy moves us to a full value chain mindset across data products where these trusted data assets support the integrated value chains. This is an exciting and challenging time, and we need an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead our Data Product Management team.
Our Data Product Management team plays a key role in delivering high-quality, reusable, and governed data products that support enterprise analytics and decision-making. You will lead a group of Product Managers, each focusing on an enterprise domain, who are responsible for data product development in partnership with our Digital Partners and business stakeholders. This team will also consist of Product Owners that lead data delivery through our Enterprise Data Analytics Platform, business intelligence, and automation agile teams in our Analytics & Innovation agile release train.
This role is ideal for a leader who brings product thinking, strong stakeholder collaboration skills, and a proven track record of building and maintaining trust in managed products and quality processes. You will serve as a bridge between business partners, IT delivery teams, and data governance, ensuring our data products are valuable, scalable, and most importantly, trusted.

Key Responsibilities
•Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Owners aligned to enterprise domains across CFO, Corporate, Midstream, Refining, Commercial and Shared Services.
•Champion cross-organizational data products that take a full value chain approach for maximized potential.
•Mature the data product delivery model into a repeatable and consistent set of practices and artifacts.
•Improve standardization and templating for functional and technical artifacts for data product development.
•Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure data product standards are followed.
•Prepare data product materials, such as statuses and metrics, for the Enterprise Data Governance Council.
•Incorporate requests and directives from the Enterprise Data Governance Council into team operations.
•Collaborate with the IT Performance Excellence team to communicate and highlight the A&I portfolio of products.
•Collaborate with Portfolio, Agile Coaches, RTEs, and Scrum Masters to execute planning and related activities.
•Monitor backlog health, delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction; drive continuous improvement.
•Champion data as a product thinking and cross-functional collaboration throughout the data product lifecycle.
•Manages the day-to-day operations of a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities.
•Understands the overall organizational vision and collaborates with management to set team goals that translate into actionable plans at the team level.
•Maintains a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and leads the team through periods of change and transformation.
•Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify technology needs and opportunities and works with internal IT groups to provide effective solutions to address business needs. Develops continuous improvement techniques.
•Ensures the availability, reliability, and security of technology systems, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information and prevent disruptions.
•Plan, resource, and provides direction and technical leadership for low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manages the department project portfolio effectively through governance and planning processes.
•Assists in the development and management of the department budget, tracking expenses, and ensures that resources are allocated effectively to meet business requirements.
•Stays abreast of the latest technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes, and makes recommendations for adopting new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
•Assesses and identifies technology needs and opportunities, making recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements. Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize processes and workflows.
•Partners with leadership to develop strong business cases for technology initiatives.
•Assists in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with area of responsibility and industry standards. Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
•Responsible for recruitment, development, retention, performance management of talent to meet needs of the business.
Education and Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
•10+ years of diversified IT experience required.
•3+ years of experience leading professional staff required.
•Understanding of data governance, data product concepts, and enterprise data reuse practices required.
•Experience in Agile or SAFe frameworks with a strong understanding of product management practices required.
•Familiarity with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Snowflake), BI tools, and data delivery required.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead through influence required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required
