Mechanical Engineering Manager
Location: Onsite | Job Type: Full-Time | Salary: $100,000 – $150,000/year
We are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead and grow our team of mechanical engineers, with a strong focus on product design, R&D, and industrialization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead, hire, and mentor a high-performing team of mechanical engineers, focusing on skills development and team growth.
•Oversee mechanical design projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, and customer requirements.
•Partner cross-functionally with departments such as electrical engineering, production, and procurement to drive the industrialization of new products.
•Monitor project timelines and quality standards through regular team check-ins and reviews.
•Design and develop control panels using AutoCAD and related design software.
•Create and sketch mechanical components, including motors, solenoids, sensors, and switches.
•Select appropriate PLCs based on system requirements, including I/O and memory.
•Design and specify motor and control circuits, and generate accurate BOMs.
•Provide support for both on-site and remote system commissioning.
•Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure seamless system integration.
•Address customer service issues related to mechanical systems as needed.
•Available for occasional overtime or urgent project needs.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
•10+ years of engineering experience, including R&D and product development.
•5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership or management role.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
•Experience with motion control systems, servo motors, and HMI platforms (Rockwell, Siemens).
•Working knowledge of UL standards and OSHA regulations.
•Strong communication, project management, and team leadership skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
