Engineering Internship (New Business) - Las Vegas

Interns are hired through a third-party vendor rather than directly by Southwest Gas.

This internship is based in Las Vegas, NV. Please note that relocation support, including housing or moving assistance, is not provided for this opportunity.

Internship dates: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026

We are looking for interns to join our Engineering team for an 11-week period lasting from early June to mid August. The internship requires 40 hours of work per week in an office environment at our North Operation offices located in Las Vegas.

The ideal candidate will have a solid base knowledge of engineering and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. We are interested in students who are willing to learn and possess excellent leadership skills.

Our paid internship provides an amazing opportunity for students to gain practical experience and train with professionals with dozens of years of experience in the Engineering field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design construction projections

- Review plans

- Assist with procedural and team updates

- Prepare reports, specialized analysis, budget reports and review data

- Participate in on-site visits and meet with customers

REQUIREMENTS

- Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (open to other Engineering disciplines)

- Must be in a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior status

- Excellent relationship-building skills

- Excellent communication skills

SALARY DETAILS

$25 - 31/hour
