In the role of Engineering Intern – Risk Analysis & Diagnostics, you will provide analytical support for integrity evaluation, risk modeling, and engineering assessments. It’s an excellent job for engineering students interested in quantitative analysis and asset risk management in the energy industry.
This is a 3-month placement starting in June, located in Houston, TX.
- Support pipeline integrity and risk analysis projects by assisting with data preparation, quality checks, and basic engineering calculations.
- Analyze large engineering datasets (inspection, operational, asset data) using Excel, Python, or SQL to identify trends and data gaps.
- Perform statistical summaries and visualizations to help communicate findings to engineers and stakeholders.
- Assist senior engineers with ad-hoc analyses, model testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support automation and improvement of existing risk models.
- You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying {Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Petroleum} and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
- Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
- Experience with programming languages like VBA, Python, or SQL.
- Office based role, located in Houston, TX.
