Engineer - Intern

Job Summary

D&L Foundry is looking for an Intern to assist our Process Engineer in measuring, modeling, and CNC programming of casting.

This is a full-time, temporary position for a college student enrolled in an engineer and/or drafting program with flexibility on start and end dates, depending on the candidate's availability.

Duties

- Assist in CNC programming.

- Measure castings, equipment, and components for modeling.

- Model castings, equipment and components using SolidWorks software.

- Create measured drawings from models using SolidWorks software.

- Take on a possible individual casting, research and development project, or workholding fixture design depending on interest and opportunity.

- Possibly assist in construction/installation of equipment/components designed.

Skills/Experience Preferred

- Competent in 3D modeling software- preferrably Solidworks

- Must be able to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and height gauges

- Computer-CAM software and CAD software

- Okuma CNC mill, Mazak CNC mill, Puma CNC lathe, Maus CNC machining center

- 3D scanner

Other Requirements

- Occasional lifting upto 50 lbs

- Sitting 5-6 hours/day

- Walking 2-3 hours/day

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
