To join our team as an Energy Technician III. You will be acting as a lead and installing energy efficiency measures to reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs within a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle. There is no overnight travel.

- Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters

- Perform minor repairs to include windows and doors

- Assist with loading and unloading work trucks

- Ensure measures installed are to program guidelines

- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues in accordance with utility specifications

- Ensure all required paperwork and status updates are completed daily

- Assist with keeping the job site organized and safe

- Assist with customer site job set up and tear down

- Perform testing of combustion appliances to ensure proper function.

Physical Requirements

- Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather

- Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time

- Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday

- Use repetitive hand motion & use of basic hand and power tools

- Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)

- Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- 1-3 years of prior experience in the residential construction industry is required

- Minor plumbing and/or electrical experience is required

- BPI Certification preferred (Candidate must be able to obtain a BPI Certification, paid for by the Company, within 90 days of hire. Training will be provided)

Target Compensation...

$22.00-$26.40

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
