We’re seeking a Energy Solutions Sales Manager to grow our presence in the data center and mission-critical infrastructure markets. In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with business strategy while developing relationships with clients to position Clifford and Generac as the go-to solutions provider. Ideal candidate will be located in Kansas City, MO or Tulsa, OK.
- Drive Growth: Expand Clifford’s footprint across territories by identifying and developing high-value opportunities within the data center and mission-critical markets.
- Consult & Engineer Solutions: Partner with customers, consulting engineers, and design teams to craft reliable, customized power solutions that address technical and business needs.
- Lead Technical Sales: Support local sales teams with product expertise, design consultations, and executive-level presentations.
- Collaborate with Generac & Partners: Work closely with Generac engineering, product, and OEM teams (including ASCO, Trystar, ABB, and UPS manufacturers) to ensure accurate solutions and seamless project execution.
- Engage Clients: Build trusted relationships with C-suite decision makers and technical stakeholders through a consultative, value-driven approach.
- Support Post-Sale Success: Partner with Clifford’s service and project management teams to ensure customer satisfaction through commissioning and beyond.
- Stay Ahead: Represent Clifford and Generac at trade shows and industry events while keeping your technical and market knowledge sharp through continuous learning.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of technical or consultative sales experience, ideally in emergency power generation or industrial electrical systems.- Expertise:
- Deep understanding of diesel and natural gas generators, switchgear, transfer switches, and control systems.
- Proven ability to translate technical details into compelling business value.
- Strong track record of winning executive-level business.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, follow-up, and organization.

This position will be working primarily indoors or outdoors in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment, but also requires the employee to be moving through other areas on a regular basis. From this movement, the employee will encounter varying temperatures from these areas. Normal auto and air travel hazards will apply. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be higher in other areas.
