Electrician Assistant

Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Electrician Assistant and be a vital part of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects across diverse settings. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Utility Electrician in performing routine electrical repair, maintenance assignments and electrical work. This position requires good mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn electrical concepts, and the ability to follow directions. You will contribute to ensuring electrical systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards, all while developing your skills in a fast-paced, supportive atmosphere.

Duties

· Assists with disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, testing, and installing electrical motors, electromechanical devices, controls, contacts, switches, and other electrical equipment and components.

· Learns to perform electrical troubleshooting and installation work

· Cleaning, organizing job sites, and transporting materials and tools

· Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring tools are well-maintained

· Working with hand tools and power tools

· Using, reading, and recording data from a multimeter

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Experience

Previous experience working on construction sites or renovation projects is preferred.

· High School Diploma or GED Required

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Maintains a valid Indiana Driver's License

· Ability to read electrical schematics is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
